Scalability is at the heart of XProtect

The Milestone XProtect video management platform is designed with flexibility and scalability at its core. XProtect can be run on a single server if the live viewing requirements are minimal, or multiple servers can be combined to create a system configuration that will meet the most demanding requirements.

A typical installation would be for one or multiple recording servers to be configured under the XProtect management server. This unit would run all XProtect software components while another server (or servers) would run as a recording server only.
